“ Nos recomendaron la Penultima para comer algo sencillo y bien de precio. La verdad es que el lugar es sencillo pero nos sorprendió por alguna de sus innovaciones (melocotón relleno de marisco) Finalmente un bar/restaurante regentado por un camarero de toda la vida con muchas tablas. El servicio rapido y profesional, pero sin florituras. La comida bien de cantidad y rica. Lo más sencillo quizás los postres, un punto en el que cojea. Durante la comida vimos sacar un plato de ancas de rana qué nos llamó la atención y las probamos dos dias después; simplemente espectaculares. ”
“ Visita a La Bañeza y decidimos probar la comida casera de La penúltima que tan buenas reseñas tiene. El comedor está muy anticuado, pero es acogedor y con buena separación entre mesas, lo que es muy de agradecer. Decidimos comer dentro porque la terraza es una serie de mesas y sillas ubicadas en la calzada. El camarero, un profesional como la copa de un pino, eficaz, rápido, y simpático. La comida muy buena, pedimos de casi todo dado el número de personas que fuimos, y se nota la elaboración prácticamente casera. Nos gustaron especialmente las carrilleras, estaban en su punto exacto. Pero aquí va el motivo por el que le quito una estrella, y es porque las alubias con chorizo (plato estrella según nos dijeron) estaban duras. Les faltaba claramente tiempo de cocción. Una lástima porque apenas las probamos, no era agradable morderlas. ”
